We are committed to making olive oil art the pride of a land rich in nature for centuries: Irpinia. Oleificio FAM Founded in 1997 by the commitment of Flora, Antonio and Maria Tranfaglia who have chosen to carry on the passionate initiative of Papà Marciano. 13 hectares of olive groves managed with organic farming method, including 7 of the Ravece variety, make the company a reference point of excellence.
The production area of olives milled by Frantoio Fam is largely in the area already known for unique wines such as Taurasi, Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino and Falanghina del Beneventano, a landscape characterized by sun-kissed valleys and rolling hills in the most uncontaminated green, where olive and wine production extend in their ideal climate. The farm leads with the organic method about seven hectares of land in Taurasi (AV), four in Mirabella Eclano (AV), one in Venticano (AV) and 1 in Calvi (BN). Almost seven hectares of land are planted with olive trees of the variety “Ravece”. The production of oil also takes place thanks to the introduction on the farm of olives produced by farmers in the area. The olives are harvested between mid-October and the end of November, and are cold-milled within a few hours after harvesting.
